The Shmup-off Friday events were held each Friday during Shmuppreciation Month 2008.
Each Friday night, participants would submit their best scores between 5:00 p.m. and midnight, Central Standard Time.
The highest score at the end of the evening was entered into the Shmuppreciation Month 2008 contest.
Although initial interest in the idea was high, and a select few maintained interest throughout,
the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl combined with general apathy from the community at large
resulted in an initiative that was, on the whole, a complete waste of time.
The scores achieved throughout the month are presented below.
Blue Wish Resurrection was played on March 7, 2008.
This was the first Shmup-off Fridays game for 2008.
Interest in the event was relatively high,
and most participants greatly enjoyed the game,
especially since many had never played it before.
